At the inception of the company , an employee suggested the name Big Daddy for the Jomax Technologies. But the domain name was not avaialable. So, they changed the name to Go Daddy and later to GoDaddy in February 2006.
In no time, GoDaddy became same the size of its competitors like Dotster and eNom. It was in April, 2005 that the company became the largest ICANN-accredited website registrar on the internet.
